Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Contact forms

If you send us an e-mail using the contact forms, the contact details you input will be stored on our servers for a period of up to 3-4 years. This is in case you have purchased a product, request to purchase a product or are making complaints or suggestions – the data is stored for legal purposes. Who we share your data with

For purchases: Your data is shared with postal services and freight forwarders once you place an order with us. advoli accounting agency and related government agencies. Your purchase receipts are stored for tax purposes in accordance with law in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

For website visits: Data as gathered and provided by WordPress Stats, Google Analytics and Gravatar and webhost third party.

Opt-in on mailing list: Mailing services is provided by a third party and you are able to opt-out and request all information to be deleted. We will not keep this data after you have done so.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

We are however unable to do do an audit of these protections beyond what is publicly available. We are not liable for any failure of these third parties in protecting yours or our data. What data breach procedures we have in place

We keep back-ups of all data and correspondence, both online and offline. We will attempt to restore functionality and accounts immediately after such a breach. Once we have been made aware of said breach that uniquely identifies our users, we will notify the applicable government agencies within 72 hour time frame as per EU GDRP regulation. We strongly advice you to use the SSL/HTTPS services that we provide throughout our sites. This encrypts our user communications with the servers so personal identifiable information is made much more difficult to be captured by third parties without authorization.

We receive statistical data from WordPress Stats and Google Analytics. Gravatar provides services such as personal avatar photo of users.
